What is the preppy look-
The preppy look originated as Ivy League school fashion or individuals who would go to private schools- symbolizing wealth (though not all the time) and elegance.
The #prepstyle includes brands such as, but not limited to Brooks Brothers, Polo and Lacoste. It can be described as a ‘neat’, ‘clean’ and ‘sharp’ look. You will almost never see low cuts, or skin tight clothing involved.
Think stripes, think matching colours, think blazers, think NOT yoga pants. Also, I might be slightly outdated with this but knit ties are cute! They’re such a modern, chic take on the traditional ties!
It’s definitely a fun look to experiment with. Don’t forget the bright & happy colours 🙂
