The C O L O U R Series (T.C.S)

Having a background in psychology, I’ve always been curious to know how the human mind works. What interests me even more, is how easy it is to be influenced into feeling or thinking a certain way without consciously knowing it. Minor details in our surroundings- like the people, smell, what we see can easily affect how we act and how we feel. In the instance of first impressions that we have of places or people, what actually moulds our perception of another? One common knowledge is that what we wear may not directly reflect who we are as a person, but can create a certain impression that people may conclude about us. If that is the case, how about the colour of clothing that we wear?

Can we change a person’s first impression of us merely based on the COLOUR of what we wear?

Hence, I decided to combine two things that I am known to do- Fashion + Psychology to bring you
THE COLOUR SERIES

What is THE COLOUR SERIES you ask?
It is a weekly feature on the meanings and psychological impacts that EACH colour has on you or the people around you.

Simply put, this series will run over the course of several weeks and each week features one colour and how it impacts your thoughts and emotions! What has been so fun in the process of preparing for this feature is that the shoots done for each article will have the topic colour as the focus of the outfit.

Also, I have collaborated with some AMAZING writers/media personas and Vancouver photographers for these shoots- you might find your favourite in one of the articles posted.

Each article will be posted on the MONDAY of each week (starting next week) and you will be able to find it under the Category of COLOUR SERIES on my site. Also, feel free to comment on your thoughts of each colour- cause that would make the article much more fun to read!
