Meet My New Best Friend | Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link

I’ve had allergies my whole life. Funny enough, I never got tested to see what exactly I’m allergic to. What stands out that I know for sure, is that dust and pollen are amongst the allergens that I’m sensitive to. Growing up in Malaysia, the overall air quality isn’t the greatest either and after moving to Canada, I’ve also begun to notice that the change in seasons also cause a minor reaction that can range from my sinuses and my skin.

This post was created in partnership with Dyson Canada but all opinions are my own.

Recently, I have started using the Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link and wanted to test out how my body would react to the change in seasons.  Before going into how amazing this purifier works, I need to say that I’ve never used a purifier before but am a big fan of my portable heater.

After using the Link for a couple of weeks, I found that it has worked wonders. I usually do unboxing for mail in my bedroom and after using the Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link, I’ve been more attuned at noticing the quality of air in my space. I would’ve never classified the body scents, dust, allergens in my bedroom as ‘pollution’ but it could very well be without the constant air flow. A result of that is a stuffy, icky room *blegh*

360-degree Glass HEPA Filter

Time to admit: I have ALWAYS been fascinated at Dyson tech. More specifically, the gaping space in the centre of all the products. I secretly like to stick my hand through the machine- I find enjoyment pretty easily as you can tell.

Inside the Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link is the glass HEPA borosilicate that acts as the filter to remove 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. The active graphite filter within captures organic compounds, odours and household fumes and the tris-coated graphite increases the capture of harmful gasses like formaldeyde. This explains how different the air quality in my room is whenever I use the Link, especially when it smells particularly stuffy and unbreathable (for the lack of a better term). I usually leave my Dyson Link turned on for about 1 hour and the air quality becomes a lot fresher.

It’s amazing!

Hot + Cool Technology

One of the key reasons for my obsession with the Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link is that it works as a 3-in-1! Not only does it filter the air in my home, but the best part is that I can use it all year round. It works as a heater for the colder months and as a fan for the Summers.

I mean, how great is that?

When I first started using it, I literally sat in front of the Dyson for warmth and for all the clean, filtered air to hit me first haha.

Control the Link from the Ease of your Smartphone

I’ve also begun to keep the Dyson Link turned on while I sleep and I’ve noticed a significant difference in my quality of sleep, with less coughing and sneezing during that time I had a cold. The humming sound I have to admit, acted as a soothing lullaby.

Moving with the era of technology at our fingertips, I downloaded the Dyson Link app and can basically control my Dyson from wherever I am.

SO COOL. TOO COOL.

The set up process is so simple and once that’s done, as long as it’s plugged in, I was able to monitor the current air condition indoors and outdoors, as well as control the machine. Which also means, I could turn on my Dyson Link for my bedroom from the comfort of my sofa on the first floor (yay to laziness) or even start the air flow and heat up my room before getting home from work.

I also appreciated the feature where it showed my room’s current air quality and I could easily turn it off once it hit a ‘Good’ status.

More Features of the Dyson Link

Auto Mode-

A great feature if you don’t want to continuously monitor the air quality. The Dyson Link will automatically monitor and adjust the airflow so you don’t have to.

Scheduling –

One feature that I have yet to try is the Scheduler where you can set when you want the purifier to turn on during various periods of the day

Night Mode –

My favourite! I mentioned earlier that my sleep quality got better and interruptions during sleep have decreased. I’ve definitely woken up feeling less groggy

Jet Focus Control –

I play around with this feature quite a bit depending on where I place the Dyson Link. If I place it in the living room, I use the Diffused Mode for air flow to reach a larger space, whereas in my bedroom, I use the Targeted Mode for targeted airflow.

Needless to say, the Dyson link is well loved in my household.

The technology is really cool, and I recommend you check it out and learn more about the Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link on their website. It’s the perfect addition to your home if you and/or your family members have allergies!
